On
the bagua map, the Love and Relationship Gua in your home
is the far right hand upper corner as you enter your front
door. This area represents your romantic relationships, as
well as other types of relationships-including the relationship
you have with your Self. This Gua reminds you to be aware
of how love supports your happiness and overall wellbeing.
As
we progress through the bagua, I want to clarify that there
are no exact, measurable dimensions for these regions, which
was a question I received from a reader after the last article.
Although there are regions, it is important to remember that
it is your intention, not the precise definable border in
which each of the 9 sections are situated, that is the real
power behind any Feng Shui change you make. Your intention
to lift up and make better is the key; if there were magic
in Feng Shui, your intention would be its source.
The
element for Love and Relationships is Earth. The earth represents
grounding, stability, and connectivity as well as receptivity.
Your ability to balance and nurture a solid foundation will
give a long life to all of your relationships. Stones, crystals,
and pottery from the earth can remind you to bring balance
to all of your relationships. Allow your kind and loving side
to emerge as you energize the Love and Relationships center.
Red,
pink and all shades in between is the color spectrum of this
Gua. Red is a naturally attracting color, one that draws the
eye. It is an exciting, assertive and outgoing color that
has a physical affect on your body. In large doses, it can
raise your blood pressure and increase your breathing rate.
Wearing red is also known to increase self-confidence, and
ultimately that is the greatest love potion of all. On the
lighter side of this spectrum, the aura of pink inspires connectivity
to others and is both tranquil and nurturing; pink conveys
compassion and understanding and can calm a person physically.
You
want to enhance this area to strengthen a current relationship,
attract a new love, create more passion in your life, to help
open your heart, or to improve business relationships. Activate
this Gua with items that will make you aware of love and include
objects or affirmations that support your desires for romance
and solid relationships.
Negative
enhancements:
-
avoid
displaying objects that do not support a positive self-image
of you as a loving person
-
if
you have a fireplace in the Love center, the sparks emanating
can actually provide instability; place a water element
on top of the fireplace to help calm the fire
-
remove
objects related to past relationships
-
place
plants and flowers; never use dried arrangements as these
can have a negative influence when used; cacti, or any thorny,
prickly plant, can trigger arguments among family members
and should be avoided; plant two of something, such as 2
fruit trees, in the right hand corner of your back yard
to symbolize fruitful relationships
-
use
lamps or a light source with a pink bulb
-
emphasize
pinks, peaches, reds, and whites
-
don't
forget colorful, scented candles as well as incense and
aromatherapy
-
for
the earth element, use pottery, stones, rose quartz, and
crystals
-
accent
with silk and velvet items such as drapes, blankets or soft
pillows
-
display
artwork with two people or objects, instead of one or three
-
display
loving photos and mementos of you and your partner
-
display
sentimental gifts, love notes or cards
Love
and Relationship manifestation board:
Accessorize
your corkboard with red, pink, peach or white. Place a collection
of love poems, notes, cards, and pictures of romantic getaways.
Add meaningful power words; mine is the front of a card from
my husband that reads, "You. Only You. Always you," and it
makes me realize what a lucky girl I am every time I see it.
Love
and Relationship intention writing:
Write
your intention for Love and Relationships. Try: "I am very
happy that I am attracting loving and generous people into
my life." "I am so grateful that my partner supports
me and all my crazy, kooky ways." "Loving people surround
me wherever I venture."
Through
all of this, it is important to remember that love for others
begins within ourselves. Follow and live the Law of Attraction:
inviting love in becomes easier when you exude love out. If
you want love, you must bestow love. Communicating openly
and honestly in every relationship will keep you on the right
track. At the same time, connecting inwardly by following
your heart, treating yourself with kindness, and openly accepting
love that comes your way, will keep the relationship with
yourself beautiful and balanced.
